Hey Hey! Welcome to LUXE Florals by Lexie- my wildest dream come true!
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been mesmerized by the beauty God gives us through nature. Sunrises, beaches, dogs, plants, flowers. Just simply being in a space that is oh so close to perfect.
This is where my love for flowers began.
There is a special ambiance that fresh florals bring to any event, an unspoken smile to all those who are in their presence.
When I am not designing, you can find me shopping with my sisters, reading with a king-sized blanket, on the golf course with Ivan, at pilates, or snuggling with my pups, Ollie & Richard!
To my parents, my sisters, my Gram, and my imperfectly perfect boyfriend who not only support my crazy ideas and dreams, but chase them with me, thank you will never be enough.
I can’t wait to bring your floral dreams to life.
xoxo

Life Before LUXE
Being a florist was never a part of my “plan” in life.
I graduated from Nicholls State University with a degree in Marketing/Professional Sales in May of 2023. I loved every aspect of school and was eagerly awaiting the beginning of my corporate sales career.
I worked as a Professional Clothier with The Tom James Company right out of college, where I helped busy professionals build functional wardrobes. I earned luxury trips around the country, made some of my closest friends, pushed myself harder than ever before, became an expert in suits, fabrics and styling, but most importantly, I got to help over 90 men and women find confidence through clothing.
You’re probably still wondering, “Ok so how did you go from selling suits to being a wedding/event florist?”
Growing up my Gram was an avid gardener, and I enjoyed spending time together working in the yard and learning about new flowers. To this day it is still one of our favorite hobbies. During my sophomore year in college, I was starting to grow some beginner flowers in my garden and had started to dabble with arranging them for my own home or to give to a friend/neighbor. But I had no formal training whatsoever. On a sunny July day, I went out on a whim and applied for a part time freelance position with The Floral Hive Design Co. in Thibodaux. I didn’t know the owner, nor did I know a single thing about weddings or designing, or what exactly “freelance” even meant. Honestly, it just looked really cool, and I was excited to make some extra money on the weekends. Little did I know just how impactful my two years with The Hive would be. Lauren, the lead designer/owner, took me under her wing and taught me just about everything I know. She was patient, inspiring, kind, unbelievably talented, and quickly transitioned from my boss to my friend/mentor. She never missed a moment to show me something new or ask for my input, even when I was the newbie. She kept our days the perfect balance of fun and efficient, and she saw something special in me far before I saw it in myself.
LUXE would have never, ever come to life without her. I am forever grateful that she took a chance on me and introduced me to the infinite beauty of the floral industry.
